Summary

Nicole Humphrey is a doctoral student and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Before entering the doctoral program, she completed her bachelor’s degrees in political science and public administration at the University of Kansas. During that time, Nicole was in the McNair Scholars Program and worked as an undergraduate research assistant on the Sociolegal Justice Project.

Nicole’s research interests include local government, urban policy, and social equity. Her current research focuses on exploring how social equity is conceptualized and operationalized by government officials, and the impact this has on the communities they serve. Other areas of interest include community development and citizen engagement.
